Polyanionic Cellulose JPAC

Polyanionic-Cellulose

Polyanionic Cellulose or JPAC is a water-soluble cellulose ether derivative manufactured by modifying natural cellulose chemically. PAC is a kind of polymer anionic electrolyte synthesized by etherification of an alkali cellulose solution in isopropyl alcohol plus chloroacetic acid.

The resulting product is processed further to augment the active polymer content considerably. It's also a substantial water-soluble cellulose ether. The powder or granules have a whitish or light yellowish tone.

PAC has a broad array of applications. It's frequently implemented in the oil and gas sector for fluid loss stabilization, viscosity regulation, and shale suppression.

Machining, textile, papermaking, drilling, and other such industrial procedures all employ polyanionic cellulose. It also has a specific kind of activation with other compounds for various applications. Its water-resistant characteristics prevent mud from drying off.
